Hello my friend, welcome back to Walking Together. I'm so glad you've joined me today. Before we begin, take one slow breath. As you breathe, remember that God is never in a hurry, and he is never late. Have you ever planted something in the garden and found yourself checking every day to see if it had grown? Perhaps you gently brushed the soil aside, wondering if anything was happening underneath. Of course nothing appeared to be changing, yet beneath the surface life was already beginning. Roots were quietly growing long before anyone could see them. I've often thought God's timing is rather like that. Listen to these words from Habakkuk. Though it linger, wait for it, it will certainly come and will not delay. Habakkuk was waiting for God to act. He couldn't understand why answers seemed slow. He brought honest questions, real frustrations, deep confusion. God didn't criticize him for asking, instead. He invited him to trust, not because the waiting was easy, but because God's timing could be trusted. Notice something beautiful. God speaks of an appointed time. That means his plans are never random, never forgotten, never delayed by accident. They unfold exactly when he knows they should. Perhaps today you're waiting waiting for healing, waiting for guidance, waiting for reconciliation, waiting for an answer you've prayed about many times. Can I gently encourage you? Waiting doesn't mean God has stopped working very often. He's working where we cannot yet see. Just as roots grow beneath the soil, God's purposes are often growing beneath the surface of our lives. Here's today's sentence to carry with you God's delays are never his absence, they are often his preparation. Let's pray. Father, thank you that your timing is always perfect. Help us trust you while we wait. Give us patience when answers seem slow. Strengthen our faith when we cannot yet see what you are doing. Help us believe that your promises will always be fulfilled in your perfect time in Jesus' name. Amen. Thank you for walking with me today. Tomorrow we'll discover how kindness becomes one of the clearest reflections of Christ's heart within us. And if you're one of our daily Bible companion subscribers, stay with me. I'd love us to spend a few more quiet minutes reflecting on why waiting is often one of God's greatest classrooms.
